It's RINO Season The Bulletin May 5, 2009

There's a lot of confusion over Senator Specter's defection, but maybe that's encouraging since anyone who's not confused has no idea what's going on. Some might say that he defected from a position of leadership some time ago.
At least you know you're voting "politics-first" by voting Democrat vs. the illusion you're not by voting Republican. Hence the confusion.
The Republican Party was formed in 1854 specifically to end slavery. The GOP's heritage continued with the Civil Rights Act of 1866 which defended newly freed slaves from the "Black Codes" of Southern Democrats and granted all people the right to own property, engage in business, sign contracts and file lawsuits.
For some reason today's Republicans believe they can advance by behaving like Democrats and Senator Specter will likely prove the futility of this strategy once and for all. The real Republican Party stands for limited government, low taxes and free markets. The "plantation mentality" of yesterday still exists that strives to get as many as possible on government programs in exchange for votes.
Republicans must understand that the future of the Party is a return to its roots of personal responsibility, accountability and self-reliance where everyone is fundamentally equal. The solutions that we all seek are the winning formula of tomorrow where "politics-at-all-costs" will be nothing but a faded memory.

Dear Mr. Steiner, I don't know why you have selected the IBEW 269 on which to spew your words of wisdom and I am not sure your article even makes any sense, save the public bashing of some very dedicated and hard working individuals, but I think you should take a good hard look at yourself. I am willing to bet that you'd sell your soul to the devil if it would net you more profits. I know what most sales organizations are like and I know what ilk surfaces to the top of these organizations. Not the smartest but the most cunning and deceitful types. I have several brothers who have made a good living working for the IBEW 269. They are remarkably good people and I for one do not appreciate the type of personal bashing you have supplied. My brothers incidentally all attended college as well as the electricians school and I think they are better individuals because of this. I would stand up for them and the organization they support over the likes of you any day of the week.
